The Silent Scream Part 1 – Abortion as Infanticide

Dr. Bernard Nathanson’s classic video that shocked the world. He explains the procedure of a suction abortion, followed by an actual first trimester abortion as seen through ultrasound. The viewer can see the child’s pathetic attempts to escape the suction curette as her heart rate doubles, and a “silent scream” as her body is torn apart. A great tool to help people see why abortion is murder. The most important video on abortion ever made. This video changed opinion on abortion to many people. Introduction by Dr. Bernard Nathanson, host. Describes the technology of ultrasound and how, for the first time ever, we can actually see inside the womb. Dr. Nathanson further describes the ultrasound technique and shows examples of babies in the womb. Three-dimensional depiction of the developing fetus, from 4 weeks through 28 weeks. Display and usage of the abortionists’ tools, plus video of an abortionist performing a suction abortion. Dr. Nathanson discusses the abortionist who agreed to allow this abortion to be filmed with ultrasound. The abortionist was quite skilled, having performed more than 10,000 abortions. We discover that the resulting ultrasound of his abortion so appalled him that he never again performed another abortion. The clip begins with an ultrasound of the fetus (girl) who is about to be aborted. The girl is moving in the womb; displays a heartbeat of 140 per minute; and is at times sucking her thumb. As the abortionist’s suction tip begins to invade the womb, the child rears and moves violently in an attempt to avoid the instrument. Her mouth is visibly open in a “silent scream.” The child’s heart rate speeds up dramatically (to 200 beats per minute) as she senses aggression. She moves violently away in a pathetic attempt to escape the instrument. The abortionist’s suction tip begins to rip the baby’s limbs from its body, ultimately leaving only her head in the uterus (too large to be pulled from the uterus in one piece). The abortionist attempts to crush her head with his forceps, allowing it to be removed. In an effort to “dehumanize” the procedure, the abortionist and anesthesiologist refer to the baby’s head as “number 1.” The abortionist crushes “number 1″ with the forceps and removes it from the uterus. Abortion statistics are revealed, as well as who benefits from the enormously lucrative industry that has developed. Clinics are now franchised, and there is ample evidence that many are controlled by organized crime. Women are victims, too. They haven’t been told about the true nature of the unborn child or the facts about abortion procedures. Their wombs have been perforated, infected, destroyed, and sterilized. All as a result of an operation about which they they have had no true knowledge. Films like this must be made part of “informed consent.” NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League) and Planned Parenthood are accused of a conspiracy of silence, of keeping women in the dark about the reality of abortion. Finally, Dr. Nathanson discusses his credentials. He is a former abortionist, having been the director of the largest clinic in the Western world.

This is a composite of ambulance calls to Aware Woman abortion clinic in Melbourne, Florida. It shows the tragic results of botched abortions. Countless women have been injured at Aware Woman and other abortion clinics throughout the United States where abortion is legal but not safe.

The last frame of the video shows the abortionist who injured these women. Aware woman abortionist William Philip Egherman was trained by Martin Haskell, the inventor of partial birth abortion.

The bomb squad vehicle is the one with ramps on the back for their bomb handling robot. Notice the neighborhood school children walking by from their school bus stop within sight of the bomb squad truck as the bomb squad does their job.

The video is overlaid with audio from the actual 911 calls and one message left on our answering machine by one young woman whose abortion at Aware Woman went terribly wrong.

Aware Woman: Hi, we need an ambulance up at Aware Woman, it’s 1564 Dixie Way.

Aware Woman: We have a patient with a real low blood pressure – 54 over 30.
Dispatcher: Is she a surgery patient?
Aware Woman: Yes.
Dispatcher: Is she post-surgery today?
Aware Woman: Yes.
Dispatcher: How many hours?
Aware Woman: Let me see when she had her surgery? She had her surgery . . . she was done with surgery at 12:35 – so about 2.5 hours.
Dispatcher: But she’s responsive?
Aware Woman: She is responsive.
Dispatcher: Okay, and your name?
Aware Woman: My name is (blanked out).
Dispatcher: We’re on the way. If she gets worse before we get there, call right back.
Aware Woman: Okay, thank you.

Aware Woman: We need a transport, we have a possible perforation and we’d like a transport with no lights, no sirens.
Dispatcher: Okay, ma’am, we are 911. We have to come emergency.
Aware Woman: Okay, so you have to have lights and sirens.
Dispatcher: Yes ma’am.
Aware Woman: Okay.
Dispatcher: And what’s wrong with her?
Aware Woman: A possible perforation.
Dispatcher: What’s that?
Aware Woman: Where the uterus has been perforated. She was having an abortion.

This young woman is responding to one of many letters sent to Aware Woman patients offering help with problems after an abortion. She did not identify herself but she is obviously hurting both physically and mentally:

“Hi, I had a procedure done there (at Aware Woman abortion clinic) in January and I just think that while you are protesting you should just maybe tell the people what happened to me. I had an abortion in January of this year and two days later . . . they didn’t give me an abortion. A baby came out in the toilet and I held it in my hand.

“I tried to get counseling and things like that. You know all the therapist does is just want to dig up things that have happened in your life. She never wants to hit the issue that you want to talk about.

“Well, I’m just calling . . . I mean you can tell the girls that, you know, if this is something they want to do, then don’t go there (Aware Woman).

“I tried to seek legal advice and pretty much Aware Woman has covered their butt. You know they are not going to let anything happen to them.

“So, my intentions are only just to tell these girls that they might go in and pay $480.00 and their termination might be what happens. They don’t know what might happen 2 or 3 days later. Maybe they may have a chance that nothing would happen to them. Their baby might come out like mine did — whole. It wasn’t torn, it wasn’t anything. I was 13 weeks and I held it in my hand. It fit in the palm of my hand.

“I have terrible, terrible problems. I bleed every day. I don’t know if I will ever have children again. I am 22 years old.

“Maybe I should have listened to the lady who was trying to talk to me when I went inside. I haven’t talked to anyone else about this so it felt good just to have someone listen and not say anything.”

I don’t see a difference tell me your points of view and when it would be "okay" to have an abortion?I see it as killing an innocent unborn baby is wrong and that if a mother can’t provide for the child it is best to give the child a chance at life and send them to a place where that baby can find people that are willing to raise them if the biological parents can’t.

Why are you asking this? You know people are going to go along with you, then your going to have some that are going to get madder than a wet hen at you, right? Well, I am not proud of this, but when I was 17, I went to a party and passed out. I know someone slipped something into my drink, to this day I know it. Well, when I woke up at 3 am to a house that was cleared out but 3 people, I left and went home. I woke up just as I know I passed out, fully clothed. 2 weeks later I find out I’m pregnant. I was TOTALLY devestated as I had NO clue anything had happened. I was half as s raised by parents that never wanted me, and a mother that told me the whole time I was growing up that I wrecked her life because she had to raise me and stay with my dad, she hated me for being born basically. I grew up crying about this, and most of my childhood and teenage years I really didn’t want to live at all. This is why I battled drugs and everything else, I didn’t care if I died and I knew my parents didn’t care either. My Mom always told me that I was a piece of s hit and she hated me, right to my face. When I found out I was pregnant, I had an abortion at 18. Today I’m 34, and like right now, I sit here and cry about it. Even people that have abortions, if they have a heart, it’s still not an easy way out of it and I know this first handedly because it tears me to pieces still today. Even though it was nothing I did and some jerk did, I know I’ll go to hell for it, and I deserve to. I have been married for years and we have 2 children and I always have in the back of my mind what happened early in my life, and I am very ashamed. I later found out who did this to me and I beat the f u cking shit out of him. he threatedned to call the law on me and I told him to go right ahead and when I got out, I’d be back for him, he never made that call and he left the state after he got out of University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He knew I meant business so he took off, just like a coward. He ruined my life. So don’t think that everyone had abortions because they had fun and didn’t want the responsibility afterwards, that wasn’t even close to my case. What I did didn’t make it right I know, but I grew up not wanted and hated and blamed by my parents. Today they hate me still and they also hate my kids, for no reason other than they didn’t want me.
I found out when I was 3 weeks. It took until I was 6 weeks to get in for the appointment, that was the closest available. I didn’t wait until I was 6 weeks for kicks, that was the closest available to me. Some people wait until they’re much further, just because they can, and they are the ones that have little value for life or morals.

I have never heard a good reason, and I have heard numerous bad reasons.
For example, "I can’t afford to have a baby."
Well, the baby can be placed for adoption. Medical costs will be paid by the adoptive parents. Also, reasonable lost wages can also be paid by the adoptive parents.
I don’t believe it is poor taste. I am asking you folks because you had reasons to keep children, and I want to get your opinion.
I am developing a list of arguments AGAINST abortion. Perhaps you misread the question.
I gave Ms Goddess a thumbs up because she makes a good argument for a completely separate issue. However, it seems like she has her own agenda (ala Miss Teen South Carolina that wanted to get her point about world issues out no matter what the question was [except Ms Goddess stated her point intelligently and with devotion]).
I am not trying to change anyone’s attitudes about abortion. I am personally against it, and I wish it weren’t a reality, but it is. It is much like the war in Iraq, whether you like it or not, you must acknowledge it.

Kudos to Ms Goddess. I would give her the Best Answer, but it really doesn’t answer this question. That being said, please read her response.

Reason to get an abortion: You do not want to have a baby.

Reason not to have an abortion; 1. You want to have a baby. 2. You do not want to kill a baby.

Having a baby and loving it: Priceless

Have you ever seen how they perform an abortion. When women are deciding about abortion they should first learn about fetal development and then learn abortion techniques. Most abortions have been proven to cause pain to the fetus that is being aborted. If one has a pumping heart and brain waives why would you think they do not feel pain?

The killing of a baby,It didn’t ask to be born.But people have there reasons why they have them to.

I am definately AGAINST abortion and FOR capital punishment because the child is a PERSON at conception and is INNOCENT. The murderers are GUILTY and NEED to be done away with. Why should our tax dollars feed the like of them? I say that Wisconsin needs to have a death penality.

Criminals are human beings; fetuses are not.

You can’t be against abortion & still believe in capitol punishment, unless you are a complete moron.

The reason we have criminals in the first place is because pro-lifers like you are forcing women to give birth to unwanted babies who live bad childhoods & grow up to be killers & rapists because thier parents couldn’t love them.
