Some places in the US don’t have access, very limited access, or constricting laws. What would you do to fix that?

Fix lack of abortion services? For that you would have to repeal the Hyde Amendment that prohibits federal funding for abortion. Then every state would be forced to cover it in their Medicaid programs like California and New York already do.

Then abortion servies and the poor would not be discriminated against. Congress set up the Medicaid program to equalize medical services between the rich and poor. To deny poor women abortion services while paying for childbirth is unfair. It removes reproductive freedom and defies both common sense and humane public policy. Cutting off Medicaid abortion actually increased poverty by trapping mothers of young children in the poverty/welfare cycle.

If Medicaid pays for pre-natal care and well baby visits to the pediatrician. It is discriminatory to cover one pregnancy option and not the other option. So either Medicaid need to provide women with all their options or none at all. When I say ALL I mean ALL; parenting, adoption and abortion.

Why did abortion only became an issue -after- the women’s rights movement? From where I stand, the true motive of the anti-abortion movement appears to be an underhanded retaliation against the newly acquired rights of women, veiled under a concern for the supposed rights of the unborn.

Ps – Covering abortion in the long run is cheaper than covering the cost of pregnancies and continued medical care for said baby/child.

Pro-choice seems to be a phrase that would be more fitting with consumerism than to describe a position towards abortion.

Abortion supporters are pro choice. If you defend somebodied right to abort, you suport aboriton.

Because people who support a woman’s right to choose are in favour of choice, and that’s why it’s called ‘pro-choice’.

First of all, it is very important to go to non bias sites. A lot of the pro life sites have false information to sway your thinking. If you go to a non bias site, you will most likely find correct information on them. Best of luck on your paper

Why is he for killing more people in other nations as well?

Seems killing all those people far out numbers the number of abortions he doesn’t want to occur.

And if I have his stance on abortion wrong (we all know how he flip-flops) and he is pro-abortion, well wouldn’t that add to the total number of people he is all for/pro-killing?

Why do pro-killers get to run for office?

I am doing a project on abortion and I need to talk about current laws and court decisions. I would like the site to be reliable and I’m having trouble finding it myself.
I am interested in laws concerning the United States. Especailly Ohio

Laws vary from place to place. Some countries ban abortion, while other allow it. In the U.S., the states regulate it, and make the laws about things such as waiting periods, perental consent for minors, and so on. The only thing they cannot do is ban it.

For court cases, there have been many cases brought to the U.S. Supreme Court. Roe v. Wade was the big one, and others include Webster v. Reproductive Health Services, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, Stenberg v. Carhart, and Gonzales v. Carhart to name a few.

Examples:
1. Crisis Pregnancy Center are NEVER going to tell a woman that abortion could be the best decision, yet aren’t upfront that they are anti abortion.
2. Only want "states rights" to ban abortion ONLY after they have learned that most people don’t want to amend the Constitution to outlaw abortion.
3. Express concern for ill health effects of RU-486 and morning after pill, but don’t complain about far more dangerous drugs on the market.
4. Refuse to acknowledge that it is far more healthy to get a 1st term abortion than to carry a pregnancy to term and give birth.
5. Act like a woman can ONLY have regret for an abortion, not the fact that most women DON"T regret having an abortion.

Anti abortion people who are forthcoming in the oposition to abortion aare at least honest, but there are so many who intend to deceive.

any time someone is trying to take personal rights from people they have to be sneaky. Personally I could never get an abortion it would not be good for me, the key words here are me, it is my decision and I support any womans choice to do it if it is right for her. We do not have the right to make that decision for her.

It is obvious they are beliefs that stem from control issues. Some people want to control other people even if it is irrational. Irrational ideas are being for killing and against killing and repeating it’s sensical. Any ideas?
