Just wondering if anyone knows the actual statistics of women who have abortions because of rape, incest and to save the life of the mother. Pro choice people say that we should have abortion legal, and they use these three scenarios to defend their position, and I would like to know how often these scenarios actually take place. What percentage of abortions are due to a rape, incest and to save the mothers life, and what percentage of abortions are due to just unwanted pregnancies?

Now apply that to every human.
So that means you can’t tell the child in the mothers womb what to do with their body either, or else your violating their rights. Don’t be a hipocrite, apply your opinion to all people, no matter how small they are.

While white women obtain 60% of all abortions, their abortion rate is well below that of minority women. Black women are more than 3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are roughly 2 times as likely.

I’ve been trying to find some actual medical statistics past 2007 for a university project, but I’m having a lot of trouble because literally everything I’ve found is either written by religious groups (i.e., of no informational value at all…) or pro-lifers (blowing statistics out of proportion).

I just want to find some medical opinions written by real doctors who just want to inform, not sway a person one way or another. You know, something I can actually put into an MLA citation… Any help?

Im not sure if you could, as those who have abortions etc probably wouldn’t inform many people, especially if they feel guilty about it…what you could do would be firstly see if you could get stats off a few hospitals and if they would give you some figure for how many and say maybe how many under 20, 20-30 etc so if your not being too specific they may be more willing to help. Also you could find stats some from pro-abortion sites and some from anti-abortion sites and then create a balanced argument. Nothing is ever unbiased!

In proportion are women 50% pro-choice and pro-life? If so can someone give me the source. I would appreciate it if it was an unbiased source.

According to a Gallup Poll in January, 2001 – People who considered themselves to be pro-life rose from 33% to 43% in the past 5 years, and people who considered themselves to be pro-choice declined from 56% to 48%

I asked a question about why there were more abortions in red states than blue states. Said my stats were partisan, so I asked my next question, "Is the CDC partisan" I had explained my previous question. Then I got called out by some right wing guy that asked me that why the CDC keeps track of abortion when its not a disease. I assume that he assumed that I was making it all up.

Many people told me that they imply did not believe me. I want to know if they have a reason to not believe Stats from the CDC, or if they merely choose not to believe anything that does not conveniently fit their paradigm.

I’m not right wing guy. Far, far from it. I honestly didn’t know that the CDC keeps abortion stats. Sorry about that. It was no slight to you whatsoever. I am not a right wing guy.
